Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate and monitor the hemodynamic effect of Vecuronium at intubation time. Methods: Sixty adults (ASA-1) patients (males:39 and females:21), all patients received diazepam 5 mg intravenously, then patients were allocated randomly to undergo general an aesthesia with nitrous oxide – halothane. Results: Vecuronium was administered to 30 patients named group - A, and normal saline was administered to another 30 patients named group -B, Heart rate and arterial blood pressure were monitored immediately before induction, at time of induction 0, 3, 4 and 5 minutes after induction. Conclusion: The study show Vecuronium did not influence heart rate or systolic or diastolic arterial blood pressure.
